Ordering Cabinets or Countertops can be a major investment and involves making many decisions that you will have to live within your home for years to come. Therefore, the following are some things to review with your designer to make sure that you are getting the products that you want and to set your expectations about the ordering, delivery and installation process.
The first step of this process begins in our kitchen cabinetry showroom. Bring your blueprints or simple pictures of the existing space to get us started. Just fill out the form under our contacts tab or give us a call to schedule a meeting! After an initial showroom visit, our Designer will make a site visit to confirm dimensions and discuss the layout.
We'll sit down together to create how you want your new kitchen to look. A successful design is one that evolves. We won't design it FOR you, we'll design it WITH you! We will show you sample door styles, colors, finishes, hardware and more. Help you choose the best options for your style and budget!
When you are ready to move forward and place an order, we will create a precise floor plan and elevation drawings of your kitchen project that will be approved by both you and the installers. We will then order materials in which the turn-around time for manufacturing is typically between 12-20 weeks, depending on if the layout contains custom size cabinetry. We will deliver the cabinets or laminate countertops to you, but you should be prepared to have a helper on hand to help get them into the home.
Heart of the Home Kitchen Design works with local Subcontractors to do the installations of cabinets, countertops, construction on the jobsite, plumbers and electricians. We will help you coordinate the job, as needed, to get the job done as efficiently as possible. We strive to have all the materials on hand so the installation will not have delays. We also welcome you to use your own contractors, if you wish.
